 65% of drivers will purchase a more fuel efficient vehicle the next time they are on the look out for a new car according to a survey conducted by MoneySupermarket.com.
This trend is being attributed to rising running costs; with fuel prices continuing to increase as raw oil supplies dwindle and insurance prices have risen by approximately 40% in the past 12 months.
Car manufacturers are attempting to take advantage of this increasing interest in environmentally friendly vehicles by investing millions into the development of fuel saving technologies. However, opinions are split on what design represents the future of the future of motoring.
